The ninth season of the Panasonic Manila Fashion Festival continues to provide an upgraded fashion experience, not only by weaving fashion and technology together but also by providing an avenue for both emerging designers and established names.

With the theme, “Shape, Form and Movement,” the four-day fashion affair, which opened on Oct. 16 and concluded on Oct. 19, saw a number of collections that paid tribute to fashion icons, Philippine culture and heritage, and certain eras, among many others.

The four-day event held at Edsa Shangri-La Marquee Tent kicked off with the lifestyle assembly, where known players in the industry talked about beauty, fashion, film, and digital content creation.

There were also beauty booths where people had a make-over, for that photo-ready look in the Panasonic Pink Studio. Also, the most awaited “Face of the Philippines” winner and runners-up were announced in the event on Oct 18.

But of course, the main highlights of the event were the fashion shows. Aside from the collections of Filipino designers, PMFF also presented the creations of talented designers from Australia, Korea, Japan, and Laos.
Day 1 saw the creations by Jaz Cerezo, Rob Ortega, Steph Tan, Chris Nick, Mark Tamayo, Veejay Floresca, Dak Bonite, Bessie Besana, Cheetah Rivera, Lucia Josephine (Australia), and Jun Escario.

The second day was reserved for Chris Diaz, Renan Pacson, Wilbur Lang, Kelvin Morales, Juan Paolo, KC Pusing, Kaye Morales, Patrick Lazol, Reynier Abello, and Yong Davalos. On day 3, Kwak Hyun Joo (Korea), Dexter Alazas, Michael Sta. Maria, Dodjie Batu, Bamba Limon, Egay Ayag, Aztec Barba, Edgar Buyan, Emi-Alexander Englisenglis, Windel Mira, and Benjie Panzales showcased their creations. Last day’s show featured Junca Hair Show, Arin, Teofila, John Magsaysay, Miyama Uno (Japan), Ministry of Silk (Laos), Protacio, Marichiu Tan, Oj Hofer, and Philip Tamus.

Through the products of Panasonic, particularly the Lumix cameras, television, and Panasonic beauty products, Philippine fashion was presented and appreciated on a better and larger scale.
